I {heart} post-its! Linky party
Create Teach Share is hosting a post-it party! How could I not participate? I love, Love, LOVE post-its!
If you know me, you might know that I am obsessed with sticky notes. I have TONS of them. Everywhere. I have the plain yellow ones, colored ones, super sticky ones, tabs, flags, big ones, small ones, lined ones, decorative ones, shaped ones, ones with fun messages... I told you I have TONS! I wish I had a picture of all the ones that are in my desk drawer alone. Maybe I will sneak in later today and take a picture.
Now, on to how I use them! As a special education teacher, I used the plain yellow ones on paperwork. I used the decorative ones to send little messages to co-workers. I used lined ones to make lists. I used the flags to mark pages I needed to copy. I used tabs to section pages in a binder. etc. BUT- I am about to be a FIRST GRADE teacher this school year and I have discovered some fabulous new ways to use post-its. Boy am I excited that I have such a collection! Did you know that you can use a template to print them on your printer? Why didn't I think of that?? The ideas from that alone are endless!
Ladybug's Tutorial
6 Trait post it templates
Did you also know that your computer or phone might have a sticky note program? You can have digital sticky notes, too! How do you use post-its? Do you love them as much as I do??
Check out the giveaway prize for the linky party!

What are you in love with? Linky Party
Blue Skies is having a Linky Party!
This will be the main decor for my classroom this year. There are a few coordinating things that I have added in addition to some of the things you see here. I am going with a Star theme, so this worked well.
Of course, I couldn't love just ONE bulletin board set. I used this for my teacher board area:
So, which bulletin board set(s) are you in love with this year?

Vista Print FREEbies!
Vista Print has a LOT of FREE items right now. There is also a link you can use to get FREE shipping when you spend $1 or more. I added all FREE items and then changed the ink on the stamp to be red for $1.49 in order to get FREE shipping!
Here's what I got:
Here's what I got:
3 sets (140 labels each)
4 pens
business cards (250)
business cards - 3 sets of 250 for 750 total
Car door magnets - I hope they aren't too big to use on a fridge!
3 mouse pads
2 of this mug
1 of this mug
1 T-shirt. It only worked on the order I didn't have a mug, so there might be a one or the other on those items. If I had figured it out sooner, I would have picked the shirt!
4 stamps
3 sticky note pads
3 totes like this
1 tote like this
Use these links to find the FREE items. Add them to your card and then click the FREE shipping. To order multiples, wait a few minutes for your order to process and then click 'Reorder'. You can edit the items before ordering again if you like.
Photo Flip Book (I didn't do this one)
FREE shipping (do this last! make sure you have upgraded the stamp to red ink)
I know some teachers make an order and then reorder enough for all of their students. At $1.49 each, that's a pretty good deal! You can divide the items up for different events - welcome back, Christmas, etc.
Happy Shopping!

It's CRAM time!
I am totally feeling that I need to rush to fit everything in as the time left on summer vacation quickly dwindles. My 'To Do' list got considerably longer and I have been attempting to be more diligent about getting things crossed off of it. Here are some things that I am "cramming" in before I head back to school:
-building a 6 cube shelf to organize the "office"
-organize the "office"
-clean windows, blinds, and wash curtains in all rooms
-clean ceiling fans (yuck! no wonder it's still on the list.)
-scrapbook more pages
What are you hoping to "cram" in before the school year begins?
